I was wondering if SQL Compact will ever support Views and/or other features that currently only work for SQL Express?
We have corporate software that we'd like to roll out to clients as a desktop application. Ideally, we'd just send clients our existing app, but swap out SQL Server and give them SQL Compact. Unfortunately this isn't possible though, since SQL Compact doesn't allow some of the basic functions of SQL Server or SQL Express (e.g. views). Since these are small businesses and even consumers using our product, we'd prefer not to take on the Admin headaches of sending SQL Express.
Anyone know if this will be supported in the future? Or should we look to putting all these smaller clients on a web product instead?
